The Great Fall Decorating Inspection

Hello, friends! Macie here.
Something suspicious happened at our house this week. My Mom, Debi, disappeared into the storage room and returned carrying bins filled with pumpkins, leaves, pillows, and blankets.
Apparently, it’s time to decorate for fall.

Naturally, I appointed myself Chief Decorating Inspector. Every item entering the house had to pass my careful examination. I sniffed the pumpkins, tested the softness of the blankets, and watched closely as Mom moved things from one place to another, stepped back, tilted her head, and then moved them again.
Humans make decorating much more complicated than it needs to be.
Mom placed a cozy blanket across the sofa, which I assumed was for me. She added a new pillow to my favorite chair, which I also assumed was for me. Then she arranged pumpkins near the fireplace. Those weren’t particularly useful, but I approved them because they made the room feel warm and welcoming.
My Mom is a Realtor, so she understands that the little details can change how a home feels. A soft blanket, a warm lamp, or a welcoming front porch can make people want to settle in and stay awhile. I understand this better than most because I’m an expert at settling in.
By the time we finished, the house felt ready for cooler days, changing leaves, and long evenings together. More importantly, I had discovered three new places to nap.
If your home needs a fresh start this fall, or you’re sniffing around for an entirely new one, call my Mom, Debi. She’ll help you find the right home, and I’ll be available for the final comfort inspection.
🐾Until next month,
Macie Chief Decorating Inspector and Your Four-Legged Lone Tree Neighbor
