Hi friends — Macie here, and guess what?

🌞Summer is here, which means longer days, open windows, and (hopefully) more car rides. I love a good adventure, especially when it includes my favorite humans, snacks, and a comfy backseat blanket.
Whether you’re heading out of town, hosting visitors, or staying put in your favorite sunny spot, here’s my take on how to keep us pups safe, happy, and comfortable all summer long.
🐾 Macie’s Summer Travel Tips
1. Don’t Forget My Stuff
I need more than just a leash and good vibes. Please pack my food, bowls, bed, meds, toys, and a towel (in case I find a lake to jump in).
2. Keep Me Cool
Whether we're road-tripping or staying home, I need shade, fresh water, and zero time locked in a hot car. Windows down, AC up. Deal?
3. Routines Matter
Even if we're on vacation, my belly still expects dinner at 5:00. A predictable schedule = a less stressed pup = a more relaxing trip for everyone.
4. Pet-Friendly Stays Only
Some places say they’re dog-friendly, but we know the truth. Look for properties with safe outdoor access, walkable areas, and easy cleanup floors. (My mom’s good at finding those.)
5. Home Can Be a Vacation Too
If you're staying put, now’s a great time to spruce up the yard, swap out old rugs, or create a shady nook for naps. Summer refresh? Yes, please.
🐾 Real Estate Reminders from the Backseat
I’ve been on my fair share of property tours (ride along queen 👑), and here’s what I’ve learned: homes that are great for summer travel are also great for year-round living. Mudrooms, fenced yards, shaded patios, and easy access to trails? That’s the good stuff.
If you’re dreaming of a new place that makes coming home feel like a vacation, my mom (Debi) knows how to find it. Whether it’s a quiet escape in the trees or a family-friendly neighborhood with walking paths, she’ll match you to a home that fits your life and your leash.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and pack the peanut butter treats,
