Macie’s Corner: If You Touch My Toy Basket, We’re Gonna Have Words

Hi friends — it’s Macie!
Spring is in the air, and you know what that means… it’s time for “cleaning.” (Cue dramatic sigh.) I see the mops come out, the garage doors swing open, and — worst of all — humans start “decluttering.”

Now, I support tidying up. Truly. But there are some unspoken boundaries — especially when it comes to my toys, my fur, and my favorite nap spots. So let me give you my canine-approved guide to spring cleaning — without turning the house upside down for us pups.
🐾 Macie’s Spring Cleaning Rules
1. Do Not Touch My Toy Basket That slobbery duck? It's important to me. So is the tennis ball with no bounce left. Unless it’s moldy (ew), it stays.
2. Vacuum Gently I don’t care how new it is or what fancy brand you got on sale. It growls. I bark. That’s the deal.
3. Fresh Air, Not Fragrance Overload I love an open window and a breeze. But please — not ten different floral candles or chemical sprays. Let’s keep our sniffers safe.
4. My Bowls Deserve a Shine, Too Clean my food and water bowls, but don’t rearrange them! That’s my dining room, and I expect consistency.
5. Let’s Spruce Up the Yard While You’re At It We pups love spring, too. Check the fence for safety, trim the grass, and maybe toss a few balls while you're out there. Quality time = good vibes.

Here’s a tip I’ve picked up from listening to my mom (that’s Debi — your go-to Lone Tree Realtor): spring cleaning isn’t just about dusting and decluttering. It’s a great time to refresh your space, do small updates, and boost your home’s value — whether you're planning to sell this year or just want to love where you live.
And guess what? Clean, pet-friendly homes sell better. (I may or may not have been bribed with treats to stay off the listing photos... no comment.)
If you're curious about what makes a home more market-ready and pet-approved, just ask my mom. She knows her stuff — and she always makes sure families (and fur babies) feel at ease during every step of the real estate journey.
Until next time — don’t toss the duck,
