Hi there, I’m Macie! I live in Lone Tree, Colorado, and I’m the only dog in the house which, let’s be honest, is just how I like it. I’m well-loved, have plenty of cozy spots to nap, and I adore my home. That’s why I’m here to help other pups (and their humans) navigate the world of real estate…from a dog’s point of view.

Let’s talk about something really important: what makes a house a home when you’ve got paws and a tail. Sure, your human is probably thinking about kitchen upgrades or nearby schools, but we dogs? We’ve got our own checklist.

Here’s what I say to look for when sniffing out a pet-friendly home:

🐾 A Yard That’s Just Right

Big or small, I don’t care — I just want it fenced and safe so I can explore, zoom, and sniff all the good smells without wandering too far.

🐾 Room to Roam Indoors

Open floor plans are great for tail wagging. And if there’s a window at nose-level where I can keep an eye on the squirrels? Even better.

🐾 Nearby Parks and Trails

Homes near parks or walking trails get five barks from me. More walks = more sniffs = more happiness. It’s simple math.

🐾 Floors That Can Handle Paws

Hardwood, laminate, even tile, all better than carpet if you ask me. No muddy paw stress and easier cleanup if I have a little oops.

🐾 Pet-Friendly Neighbors

Bonus points if there are other dogs on the block. I’m always up for making new friends (as long as I’m still the favorite, of course).

When my mom (that’s Debi) helps people buy or sell homes, she always thinks about the whole family, even the furry ones. So, if you're planning a move and you’ve got a pet, don’t worry. She’s got your tail covered.

Until next time,

Macie 🐾
