Hi friends — Macie here, your go-to guide for all things paws, parks, and pavement.
Spring is finally showing up in Colorado, and I couldn’t be more excited. You know what that means? Longer walks, better smells, and the return of squirrel season. (They think I forgot. I didn’t.)
As a Lone Tree local and lover of all things outdoors, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite places to sniff, stroll, and socialize. If you’re new to the area, or thinking about making a move here, let this be your four-legged tour.
🐾 Macie’s Favorite Lone Tree Walk Spots

1. Bluffs Regional Park Trail Open space, mountain views, and so many good smells. This is the gold standard of tail-wagging trails.
2. Cook Creek Park This one’s close to home, with big open areas and a relaxed vibe. I love saying hi to other pups along the path.
3. Prairie Sky Park & Lone Tree Rec. Center Loop If you’re looking for a scenic (and stroller-friendly) route, this is the one. Plus, I always find at least one stick worth carrying.
4. Willow Creek Trail Perfect for shaded strolls. Bonus: lots of squirrels. I’m not saying it’s the reason I love it, but… it kind of is.
🐾 From Paws to Properties
You know what I’ve learned from riding shotgun on showings? People love homes near parks, open space, and walking trails, and so do we dogs. It’s more than just “location” it’s about lifestyle.
When my mom (that’s Debi) helps buyers find a home in Lone Tree or nearby, she always pays attention to the details that make everyone’s life better, like fenced yards, nearby green space, and neighborhoods with easy walkability.
Because when you live in a place where tails can wag freely and paws hit the trail with ease, that’s when it starts to feel like home.
Wags and wildflowers,
